May 29, 200917 yr Hi All,Some time ago I read in a forum how to modify a particular file so as to simulate closer to reality the magneto check procedure. Needless to say I lost the link! What should be: Carenado 182RG. During engine run and while checking the LEFT and RIGHT magnetos, there should be a certain amount of revolutions drop from when BOTH are ON to only LEFT or RIGHT. And there should be no more than someting, between them both. What is: Regardless of at what revolutions the engine is runing or as per the 182 specs, there is no movement of the needle while testing the mags.Factors: No difference when using the switch in 2D or VC panel. Neither when using the Saitek Switch Panel, which use SimConnect.Although I have just recently ask for help from the Carenado Team, I thought of asking here for speedy response. I know for a fact that someone has done it already, but cannot find him again.Thank you for your help
May 29, 200917 yr Cessna 182 mag check... Throttle at 1700RPM. RPM drop should not exceed 150 RPM on either magneto or 50 RPM differential between magnetos. Here's a C182 Pilots Operating Handbook on line...http://www.micro-tools.net/pdf/Cessna/182p_poh.pdf
