May 31, 200917 yr My video card and all drivers are set up properly. However, whenever I start FS9 it tells me about it using Software 3D and not Hardware Acceleration. In addition, when I go into FS9's display settings, it does not let me choose a device from the dropdown list. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this/ John C
May 31, 200917 yr Dear sirYou might want to try and delete your fs9.cfg - When you then start FS9 again a new fresh config file will we created.Keep in mind then that all settings will once again be default. There is a line in the config file that hold the information about your display card, if you have recently change your card you may get the same message as fs9 tries to read the old one.Anyway, it might be an good effort to try this as in many cases that would normally solve the issue. You find the config file by selecting START then Run and type this line%appdata%\Microsoft\FS9 X-Plane Scandinavia Norway - Sweden - Finland - Iceland - Denmark https://www.facebook.com/xpscandinavia Like - Share - Follow us on everything

It won't hurt to try, as any "restore" can be undone.

It won't hurt to try, as any "restore" can be undone. The only thing I did was install the AES 2.0 beta. After that, FSUIPC needed to be reinstalled since Squawkbox couldn't find it. I wonder if that's the cause of this as well. Unfortunately, I have System Restore turned off since (I thought) it was a waste of HD space. Maybe I'll turn it on so something like this doesn't happen again.Anyone else have any hints? John C
May 31, 200917 yr Author Solved the problem. Believe it or not, it had something to do with FSUIPC. I uninstalled and reinstalled Squawkbox and everything's fine. Thanks everyone for your help! John C
