I have a home built flight simulator cockpit that has a 4 monitor setup (3 monitors for external display and 1 monitor for the instrument panel). My present setup uses 2 video cards and I am running Windows XP...not using the TH2Go. I have customized the 2D external and panel views in FSX. I'm planning to have a new PC built shortly which will be running Vista (64 bit) and two nVidia GTX 285 2GB cards. I've heard rumors of issues with multiple monitor setups in Vista, namely not being able to use both outputs on a card. Does anyone have any information on whether or not this is an issue?Thanks!

I'm running an 8800GTX with two monitors on Vista64 here. Works fine. I'll be trying to run in full screen mode as I do now, but I believe I could go to windowed mode if necessary. In my present setup when I first load the flight, I get flashing screens, but if I toggle to windowed mode and then back to full screen mode it goes away.Thanks again,Mike

Mike- if you end up using windowed mode- recolour the Title bars to Black with dark green lettering, set Desktop colour to black and Auto Hide Task and Menu bars. The result is hard to distinguish from Full Screen mode. Alex,Thanks for the idea on how to make windowed mode less noticable. Is it possible to change both the title bar and lettering to black? I'll definately keep this in mind if I need to go that direction. I had the same problem with FS9 flashing in full screen mode, but toggling to windowed and back to full screen always cleared it up. Since it was never a big deal to do that, I never spent the effort trying to figure out how to fix it (testing video drivers, etc.). By the way, I'll try to post a picture of my setup as you requested in the post in the other hardware forum. My original setup looked a lot like yours.Thanks again,Mike

I helped a friend of mine to have an outside view spanned over 4 monitors in XP 64 bit.This is done by using 2 Matrox Dual Head2Go boxes, each connected one of the 2 OUT ports of the graphics card.Then in XP by using Horizontal Expanded mode it gives one wide view over 4 monitors.However he has a very fast pc ; otherwise it is very taxing on the system.

-----------------------Mike- I don't see why not both title bar and lettering black. There is a palette of colours- so just choose black for both!Interesting idea. You can also make the type font one notch smaller than I use- 6 versus my 7 . But if you need the use of title bars for apps other than FS, then having lettering black/invisible might cause a problem?Alex Reid
