I'm having two problems during takeoff with the 2004 MD-11 package. The first is I'm getting a stabilizer warning when I'm throttling up. What do I need to do to clear this warning? If you have setup the FMC correctly it will give you your trim setting. This needs to be set using the trim switches on your yoke (or whatever you use) Have a look on your Config or Eng display and make sure the trim is in the green band and the aircraft has Hydraulic power so it can move the stabilizer.Regarding the flaps warning, post a screenshot of your panel.Rob

more then likely your trim on the center console on the right side of the power levelers does not match correctly the slats that you are deploying rememeber when you program FMC and state that you are using 25 then the trim wheel next to the trottles should state 25 as well. as soon as you take off and retract slats, you move the trim wheel back to 15 as it would be your approach setting.also in fmc after you got ur weights and CG etc, it would tell you the exact trim setting for take off.

also i used number 25 as example depending on weight of your aircraft etc, so you could be taking off with 22. etc.

Yep, stabtrim is set incorrectly, so you'd probably forgot to enter the weights in the FMC. Also setting flaps that don't correspond to what you set in the FMC will give a warning.It's best to fly the tutorial from the MD-11...that way you'll learn the plane the quickest!
