June 2, 200917 yr I'm not sure if this is an FS2004 issue or my aircraft (Wilco CRJ 900). When I'm fying from time to time my KIAS will drop down to 0, although the gauges will still show accurate mach speed. Even the area that pops up in red for a Shift-Z shows 0.0 KIAS. Then all of a sudden it'll pop back to normal. This just seems odd and I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing it. Here's what I've got going on:My Main PC:Running FS2004FSUIPC (Latest Version)FSPassengersAC Used: Wilco CRJ (Any 200,700,900)My Laptop:ActiveSky Advanced (SP1 Beta)WideFS ClientFTG-ACARS ClientAI SmoothAny suggestions would be appreciated. It doesn't screw up my flight, but it sure seems odd!TIA!Jason Building a full scale 737-800 Simulator running P3D v5.x 210 degree wrap around screen Jason Lohrenz (@lohrenz737) • Instagram photos and videos Lohrenz 737 Simulator Project (lohrenzsimulator.com)
June 2, 200917 yr Jason, you've encountered icing. The pitot tube on the aircraft is blocked by ice and that's why your speed indicators all fall to zero. Turn on anti icing and/or put a tick to "No severe icing" (or something like that) in FSUIPC if you use it. Severe icing is so severe that even anti icing usually doesn't help. regards,Jure
