June 3, 200917 yr Hei friends,I've got the following problem with the good old PSS757 in FS2004:I do the normal start-up from a cold and dark cockpit and until i have all powers set, that means: APU is running, engings are running or External Power is definitly connected! The Problem is that i can swith the normal FS-ATC-window-frequencies, but i cannot "say" anything, and cannot "hear" anything (that will say: i cannot "read" anything). It seems to be only a problem in PSS757, because i tested it with PMGD Boing as well as the FS Cessna etc.Anyone who has an idea for this! It's a little bit rare, because it worked well before! If you need further informations led me know!ThanksJens
June 3, 200917 yr Hi Jens,It seems you are lacking battery power. Although external power is connected (from the SET screen) are you sure you are "activating" it via the overhead? You should see "AVAIL" on the electrical panel. Onur K. Visit my FS blog: Clear Right...

Although external power is connected (from the SET screen) are you sure you are "activating" it via the overhead? You should see "AVAIL" on the electrical panel.Hi Onur,Thanks for the answer. But it doenst seem to be the solution. I really checked up the Boing after Checklist and all Power is connected and working. The problem also occurs when the engines are running, that means, the last and importand power-source is active. As well i fixed the "bug", that the battery is charging too fast, with a tool called Flusifix.I am really helpless with this problem, because it seems to occur also in the PSS A330/340 series...always after a little time, after working for a while and then, from one moment to another, no text and no voice can be seen or heared!Maybe you have another tip for me!? Thank you!Jens
June 4, 200917 yr :( Just shooting in the dark here but could there be a slight possibility that Flusifix has something to do with this? I haven't heard of it so I don't know what it does. However, your problem definitely sounds like a dead battery. Also, did you install the latest patch (V1.3) for the PSS 757?I wish I could be of more help... :( Maybe a fresh install will help as a last resolve... June 4, 200917 yr Hi again, where do i get the patch from? I tried to come into the library here, but the webside could not be open.I tried it again and again with the Boing. The battery definitly works. Its sooooo rare because it worked fine before!FLusifix is a good german tool for fixing several problems with the FS9. It works very very good and the problem with the Boing and the Airbus of PSS occured before i tried it with the tool. So that is not the reason. Is there anything in the aircraft.cfg i can change for getting the battery working or the ATC spreaking to me???Thanks again!Jens
June 4, 200917 yr No no, it's not in the library. The library is currently down but it looks like it will be back soon. You can find it here:http://www.justflight.com/faqs.asp?drdProd...S2004#Update340Jens, be aware that the latest patch might render your 757 models to 2D+VC so if you are flying 2D only install it at your own risk.Unfortunately I'm not aware of any entries into the CFG file that will solve your problem, hopefully someone with more knowlegde will chime in. While running Fs9 (the Cessna will work fine) locate fsuipc in the drop-down at the top of the screen and under miscellaneous you'll find the battery settings, check in Extend battery life indefinitely and set num value to your preference.I hope this helps solve your problem.Mel

Start FS and load the default flight (the cessna); make sure that the battery, generators and avionics switches are on, and load the 757 - it should revert to the cold and dark state. Then, battery on, standby power to auto, select ground power on and see what happens.DJ
