AI traffic disappearing after landing

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I am new to the forums and I'm glad to join you there.I have a problem with my ai traffic : I am spotting in Paris Orly the ai traffic and I can see ai aircrafts disappearing after landing. They reduce their speed and disappear. However not all aircraft disappear : for example evai A319 do not while AIA 737 do. I have more than enough gates in the afcad files I use so I wonder how to explain that.Thank you for sheding some light on this issue.Matthieu

Hi,While normally the planes landing will park at any open parking spot, once in a great while I will notice that they will disappear if there is no parking spot with their parking code (even if spots with other codes are emtpy). There is some kind of "rating system" for parking, and I guess sometimes it goes haywire and you see things like that. A restart will often fix this.Hope this helps,

The size of the available parking spaces is very important too, if a space that is available isn't large enough then the plane will disappear.

Cheers, Andy.

Beside the other hints errornous AFCAD files can cause this, too. If there are disconnected taxiway links at the way to the gate the ai system has choosen or the gate itself isn't connected with a parking link. AFCAD has a menu item to check for errors and will show this.CU,hifi
