  1. Using XP, too. Finding last DirectX 9 solved the issue. CU, H.
  2. I prefer the 2D, too, with either side views or (better) a VC to get the right view when using the cooliehat. I don't like that I don't see all switches or instruments in most of the 3D cockpits (or you see all of them, but almost nothing from outside). So I agree, pleas don't stop making good 2D cockpits.H.
  3. And even this doesn't work well. I invested this few additional $$ and thought 'nice idea'', but updates ask wich language they should install and the result is a mish-mash of all languages (and folder names!). That's why I decided to buy FSX and Vista in english (which was not easy to get here).CUhififs
  4. In the panel folder in the panel.cfg's view section you can set (or change, if there are there already) settings for each view.To get the main view a little down and to zoom 0.7 for instance use[VIEWS]VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=5VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.7To see all possibilities take a look into MS-SDK panels_SDKNote: This is totally different in FSX!CUhifi
  5. You can play with the values in the contact point section called static compression/max compression/damping ratio. It's a little bit tricky an takes some time because the z-value ("length" of the gear) is also affected and you may need to restart fs9 for every try.But this section controls the mathematical gear behaviour only. It doesn't affect the visual model, so if you make the gear softer the result can be that the tire dives into the runway visually. Moving parts are built into the model file and cannot be changed by user. For good visual result the static * max compression should match the movement capability of the model (try...) or a little bit more to see the tire flatten a little bit. But that's for the visual effect only, bouncing and so on is affected by the contact point section only.CUhifi
  6. Beside the other hints errornous AFCAD files can cause this, too. If there are disconnected taxiway links at the way to the gate the ai system has choosen or the gate itself isn't connected with a parking link. AFCAD has a menu item to check for errors and will show this.CU,hifi
  7. Open the Ground Service Panel (Shift-6 or menu line, but no simicon at main panel). There you'll find switches for ELEC and BLEED.After turning them on electrical external power is available in overhead. To start engines there are 2 ways to start:1st: use external power, turn on fuel pumps. ext. air is sent through same way as APU air. Turn Start switch to either STARTA oer SARTB, use start button (must show "open" then), turn on main fuel valves at 20% N1 (pedest.) Enigne 1 should run.2nd: use APU. Turn on APU (fuel pump L CTR must be running and is the only available one at this time). Turn on APU GEN and APU BLEED. Turn on all fuel pumps then!Start enginge 1 as above. To start 2nd engine make sure it has air. If using external power or bleed air from engine 1 you must turn off AUTO air an turn on X-FEED for air (overhead at the right). After engines are running don't forget to turn starter switch off or PACKs will not work. Turn the hydraulic PITCH TRIM switches on or the autopilot won't work.Start procedure is realistic as I found in a full motion sim of Lufthansa in EDDB last year.CUhifi
