An FSX Gift

Featured Replies

I'm trying to find a way of giving someone a gift of a payware download. No developers or publishers seem to do vouchers of any kind. The item I have in mind is download only - not on CD/DVD, and I don't have the persons postal address.Anyone got any ideas how i could do this? Thanks

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

You could buy it, download it, and then send the download to them via yousendit.com You could of course also send them the serial number for it (which you'd presumably get via email) by pasting that into a notepad file via yousendit.Al

Dougal,The Pilot Shop at FlightSim.com sells gift certificates in $25 increments. One or more of them can be applied to a purchase and, if necessary, can be combined with a credit card. I've used the service, it works well.

Thanks guysThe only publisher is Flight One. I think this complicates it. I'd have to setup a new/temp email address for him, and supply the last 4 digits of my credit card. Otherwise, I don't think he could reinstall if needed?

That's an interesting point I've not encountered before. If you send an email to [email protected] your question will be answered reasonably promptly. They're a reliable operation committed to customer success so I'd be amazed if they don't have some kind of solution in place.

That's fine, Dougal, I'm not a mind reader. You said that nobody seems to do purchase certificates, and you asked for help. I provided help by telling you of an operation that does, including selling Flight1 products.
