June 9, 200916 yr Hi guys,This week I began flying with the MD-11 in FSX. Everything went fine and I already performed some autolands and flown some real world routes. Today I decided to fly the tutorial leg again but now to fly it manualy for a good part. (Takeoff and landing) But when I loaded the panel state and wanted to allign the IRS it gave me the message as seen in the screenshot below. I tried to allign the IRS on different airports and different panel states and it keeps giving me these errors. What is the problem? Thanks for your help,Tiemen Bos
June 9, 200916 yr Did you move during IRS alignment? Try setting the time for alignment to instant and while no moving turn the IRS knobs from off to nav... then press the "INITIALIZE IRS*" RSB on the MCDU when this message appears on the INIT page. (if you have GNS enabled). See FMS.10.2 Dan Downs KCRP

I will try it the way you described tomorrow again.
June 9, 200916 yr Did you press the ALIGN IRS prompt on the init page? Are you loading a saved panel? If I recall, the IRS alignment will fail the first time if the last position differs significantly from the new position.Paul
