FSX ATC lost when leaving approach airspace...

Featured Replies

Hi guys... here's my problem:I've experimenting this issue since a pair of week every flight I make:After takeoff the Tower switch me to the approach but the approach doesn't tell me to switch to the main area ATC and keep me with him till I'm out of its airspace and then... nothing... only the choice to contact one of the nearest Airports.. It seems that New York Radar Control or Roma Radar Control or whatever controller has simply... gone!I've experimented this in every part of the globe.I can only remember that I uninstalled the world of AI traffic and installed the Ultimate traffic X 2 and then I started to have this problem. No answer about this in the Ultimate traffic X 2 forum.... Any idea?I've already tried to install and uninstall both programs/packages.Please help me...

Are you filing an IFR flight plan?

Yes of course. I copy the ifr clearence and follow atc instructions till the moment i exit approach air space. Do Anybody knows which is the file that handle the airspaces infos and limits in the fsx folders?

Hmmm never heard of this issue before. For a test file an IFR plan from KDLH to KORD and takeoff, see if ATC tells you to contact departure, and shortly thereafter they will tell you to contact Minneapolis Center. I'm a controller and that's what should happen hehe. You'll only need to fly 40-50 miles of the route and you should know if FSX is working normal.
