LDS 767 high N1 during taxi start

Featured Replies

I am having issues with high N1 percentages when starting to taxi. I have to be at about 50% N1 to barely start moving. The plane is <50% loaded.Any ideas why that is?Thanks,Marek

Wrong forum, unless Level D have gone for an aggressive take over bid of PMDG on the stock market, or vice versa. But while the question is here, it could be the ambient temperature affecting thrust, or (slightly bizarre long shot but not impossible) the cost index affecting the thrust settings.Don't know the 767's fuel system that well, but I do know that the 757's fuel system has an inhibitor which stops fuel from feeding from the center tank if N3 is below a certain RPM (that's so the overpressure pump in the centre tank shuts down when the engines are idling so it does not overtax the APU when at the gate), so if the 767 has a similar system, then it could possibly affect fuel flow until the throttles are pushed up quite a way to get moving, and may have a bearing on fuel feed when at a particular level in certain tanks. That is just a guess though and a really long shot.If it's none of those things, try some WD-40 on the brake release mechanism LOLAl
