June 23, 200916 yr Basically it adds DX10 Preview mode, fixes a few additional bugs and improves performance slightly. Unlike SP1, it doesn't break anything. There's no reason not to use it, really. There is one bug in SP2 which can go unnoticed unless one either flies with autogen off, or flies with photoreal scenery, such as tileproxy, for which there is no autogen defined. At certain angles of view, buildings can disappear. This can happen to airport buildings on final, or buildings over a particular city. Not an isolated issue, quite a few members including myself have reported on and seen the issue with a variety of systems. If Autogen is always enabled (at any level), it seems to eliminate the issue. Also, certain older aircraft will not display correctly. However, many newer aircraft will only work with SP2 (such as the Citation Mustang). Since I run with tileproxy and some older aircraft of my own design I tend to prefer SP1, but I'd say SP2 predominates among most users of FSX.I should note in regards to one response, I run Vista 64 and have never had an out of memory issue running only SP 1, nor any OOM issues with FS9 as well.Regards,John
