June 28, 200916 yr I know this has been around the block but wondering if any issue towards the topic has been resolved. Gosh do I miss my FSNavigator, Is there any program out there that is integrated into FSX yet? Is there a way to pull up any chart within the sim? I don't have another computer or monitor to wide client to, and I'm not paying for FScommander that is stand alone and is 60 bucks. Also when it comes to setting up sound within FSX what changes do I need to make or programs available to help with the sound dynamics of FSX. Sometimes some aircraft seem like wavy effects and noise. I thought I read somewhere that you need to make some changes in the CFG. Thanks for any support
June 28, 200916 yr Hi,If you are not willing to spend any money, then some suggestions are Super Flight Planner, or some of the Internet flightplanners such as fsroute. Thanks,
June 28, 200916 yr It's actually $49 at todays rate. If you can run it on a second monitor, preferably over a network, then it's a worthy buy. - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
June 29, 200916 yr With FS Commander , how does it work if you only have 1 monitor, does that mean you have to Alt Tab out to use Commander? My computer doesn't seem to like it when I alt tab out because then I have to start task manager and select FSX right click and use the switch to function.
June 29, 200916 yr I Agree that FSNavigator is sorely missed but I'll also chime in for FSCommander. I have a dual monitor setup and I run it on the second monitor. The software does have an "always on top" feature, which allows for the window to stay open on top of FSX. All-in-all, FSCommander is a fine alternative given that there is nothing quite like FSNav out there for FSX. June 29, 200916 yr Is there any adjustments that need to be made to increase sound quality or to make sure I am running in stereo sound. I am using an Sound Blaster X-fi exterme audio card. Thanks
