July 5, 200916 yr on Windows Vista C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\dll.xml and add the following lines before the last line like so .... <Launch.Addon> <Name>PDFKneeboard</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>.\modules\pdfkneeboard.dll</Path> <Commandline/> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document> After starting Flight Simulator X confirm that you want to run PDFKneeboard.dll and have FSX remember that decision.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is part of the installation process for "PDF Kneeboard"I can open and insert these lines in the edit page ok, but I don't know how to transfer them into the .xml file.I've never worked with "edit and save .xml files",and I tried searching for a basic tutorialbut had no luck.Does anyone know of such a tutorial for basic dummies like me? or just a step-by-step explanation?Thanks-Skip D

July 5, 200916 yr Moderator An .xml file is simply a .txt file with a different extension...As stated above, edit with Notepad.exe, Wordpad.exe, or any other editor of your choice. When saving, choose Save As and make certain to use the .xml extension. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
