May 30, 200323 yr I just installed the Alaska terrain mesh pack from here in the library, and I'm having a few issues with the way the scenery is rendering itself. When I had installed this last year, I was not getting the half clear/half blurry effect I am getting in these two shots. What might I have set wrong, or 'too much' in my configurations? All help is greatly appreciated!(i.e. - in picture #2, you can see the mountains in the left side of my main view are in crisp detail, while the ridge on the right is blurry.)Scott
May 30, 200323 yr Commercial Member Howdy:you're a victim of "blurry textures", as are about 99% of us. Do a search for "blurry textures" in this or other forums and you'll find tips galore. Generally, you're best bet is to download the Windrider balloon and travel at 10 kts ;-) (just kidding)Cheers, Holger
May 30, 200323 yr Sorry for the tangent:Whose 152 plane/panel is that?thanks,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
May 30, 200323 yr Excellent. I didn't think the free carenado planes had such nice panels! [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
May 30, 200323 yr If you are going to use the 152 in FS2002, make sure you get the patches for 2K-to-2K2 from Carenado's site, along with the XP patch if that's your OS, as well. Their main file-download ability is off-line right now - find the plane at http://www.simflight.com/news5/I am using the sound from another 152 package found here in the libraries. The plane is quite wonderful for being a FS2000 model!Scott
May 30, 200323 yr There's a cure for them there blurry textures, you know! The cure is provided by ATI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blurs are a thing of the past!!!!!!!
May 30, 200323 yr I'm actually having some issues with that right now. The file that is linked to under the C152 II heading is entitled C1521UP.zip while the patch under the C152 I is called C1522UP.zip. I figured I'd download them both and see, but the C1522UP.zip file is missing. Any thoughts? Thanks,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
May 30, 200323 yr Ok, for the 2002 upgrade, you want the file under this heading:Cessna 152 II (CC-KDF) with pant wheels and for the XP fix, you want:Cessna 152 I and II (CC-KBC and CC-KDF) They have produced a couple of 152 models, but the CC-KDF if the freeware one, and requires the specific patches named above.Scott
May 30, 200323 yr Just to help you guys out as well, here is the link to the plane, BUT, you must register a user name with them first to access their file downloads (free).http://www.simflight.com/news5/modules.php...=#searchresults
May 30, 200323 yr whoops, just realized that didn't work! Just put 'Carenado' in their search box, and it will bring you to their C152 and Piper Tomahawk 112 (which I highly recommend as well).Scott
