FS Sky World SE V2.4 and clouds

Featured Replies

I am another one who is having trouble understanding the instructions. So I can just install all and set to random and they will work?Or do I have to get into the cloud.ini as explained above. Also,do I install before or after I start FS? Is this permanent or does FS go back to default after exiting fs? I have been selecting a pack and then setting my weather accordingly I think but I am not sure if it is working. However last night after installing I did get a weather report in the dialog box I get my rc3 readout in.It went away when I started RC3.Any further explanation will be greatly appreciated. It looks like a really great program if I can get it to work.Thank you,Ron

Chris, I will try the packages for stratus. Thanks for the info and I will look at fs2004 for the stratus. I never had the fsskyworld minimize like that. What causes this? The only problem that I have is the continuing scrolling green bar with the atis. I would like to shut this down because it is annoying. Other than that, fssky World is perfect on my machine. Thanks for asking though. Looking foward to Century of flight and your new release for it. Keep up the great work as always.Sincerely,

Hi, Ron you have 2 choice only. It is all explaned in the basic start doc.pre select 3 clouds set before you start fs2002 and close fs sky world, Or use auto Install to see all clouds during your flight.Your question are exactly available in the basic start readme. There is only 2 choice to do pre-select clouds or use auto install"this permanent or does FS go back to default after exiting fs?"Again it is cleary explaned in the basic start doc, latest installed clouds set remain in your fs2002 for your next session of flight simulator.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs

Hi, Ken and Jerry, it is all explaned step by step in the Basic start.doc + picture. You have only two choice to do, pre-select 3 clouds set before you start fs2002 or use auto install to see all clouds during your flight.I am affraid I can't explain this better, they are all step by step + with picture. Here we go Copy/Paste Step by step from the readme. If you don't Activate Auto Install feature:#1 Double click on the desktop FSW Icons Select your Cumulus Set, press Install buttons Select your Cb/Storm Set, press Install buttons Select your High/Mid level Set, press Install buttonsClose Fs Sky World or click on your Fs2002 shortcuts #2 Start FS 2002 and go to the Fs 2002 Weather/Advanced/ Clouds area#3 Add cumulus/stratus layer (adjust the clouds altitude to what you want)#4 Hit

Hi Kurts,"I never had the fsskyworld minimize like that. What causes this? "It is fixed, for some user when the weather message is on with the auto install, they get the fs2002 screen minimized always, they have to turn the weather message to off, it fixe the problem.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs

Hi Ron, "Do I have to make the changes in the cloud.ini like mentioned above and does this all go back to default settings when I exit FS"If you use the auto install with 3rd party weather generator don't edit the cloud.ini.if you use auto install with not 3rd party weather generator if you want, you can edit the cloud.ini and enabling the [AutoRefresh]RefreshCloud=off <------------------- onWaitTimeAfterClear=20 IncTime=15 DecTime=15 It is better explaned in the auto install doc, with or without 3rd party generator and the difference with the timing set. It is better to read the doc, you will have more detailed information.basic start and auto install doc..If you pre-select 3 set then press install button and click the fs2002 icons, you don't touch the cloud.ini at all, the cloud.ini is only needed to edit for specific things, by default all works without touching the cloud.iniThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs
