RC 4.3 on separate computer

Featured Replies

I wan't to run RC 4.3 for FSX on a separate computer connected to my FSX computer via network. Do I need WIDEFS7 and or registered FSUIPC for that? Or can I use SimConnect like ASA?

Respectfully, there's not much info on how to set it all up in that user guide - I guess we are talking about the chapter called 'Running Radar Contact on a Networked Machine Using WideFS' on page 134/135. I was able to do it on my own but had to use all my imagination...The good thing is that RC somewhat 'shouts' that it needs to have access to shared FSX and other folders but it does that only after you finish your install (asking you to locate your FS folder, which is nonexistent on the other computer) and try to run it again... Now, if I only remembered how I did it step by step...Anyway, you'll need WideFS (registerred version) to handle the communication between the computers over wi-fi or ethernet network...David.
