July 21, 200916 yr I flew into JFK today with "AUTOLAND" selected, as I turned to line up with 04R all had gone according to plan until I was to line up with the localizer. I lined me up way left of it, almost smack in between 04L/R. I had to disengage the AP and bring her in by hand.Im using FSDREAMTEAMS JFK in FSX with the MD11.Has anyone got any ideas as to the problem and to a cure? AFCAD? I have the latest cycles from Navigraph.
July 21, 200916 yr Probably a file got changed somewhere. I don't recall a problem with that scenery.Paul
July 21, 200916 yr Paul, I think Michael has the very common magdev error. Michael, try the registry repair tool that is safe and free from Flight1, if that doesn't work try turning off all add-on scenery using the scenery library manager. The FSDreamTeam scenery is not to blame, but a wayward addon anywhere in the world could cause this. The navdata has never been know to cause this problem.Hope this helps. Dan Downs KCRP
July 22, 200916 yr Dan, I ran the registry repair tool when I installed FS9 and FSX on this PC, but will running it now negatively affect anything, other then possibly correcting what you have mentioned?
July 22, 200916 yr Michael, the registry repair tool shouldn't hurt anything. I'm not sure what error in the registry is responsible for the tracking error but it is one of the fixes that has worked for others as reported in the forum. You can do an advanced search for ILS errors and read those yourself. Keep us updated on your problem. Dan Downs KCRP
July 22, 200916 yr Dan, I ran the registry repair tool and aside from having to repair AES all seemded to work fine.I made a couple approaches/landings into JFK on 04R and 13L and the localizer was right inline. Thanks very much!
