every time I try to install the ERJ-145 by project opensky with the virtual cockpit it never works correctly. Even when I went to a website with step by step instructions and tried it. What I am trying to ask does anyone have a package with the vc already installed, or know a link where I could get one I really want this aircraft badly.

You need to be clearer on WHY it doesn't work... just saying "it doesn't work" doesn't give us enough info to help.- Alex

nothing seems to pop up at when i go to the virtual cockpit view and i reviewed the textures needed and i have them all so i think i am writing the aircraft.cfg wrong or i didn't include something, because the installation instructions from project open sky are very vague. would you like me to show you what i have down?

Captain75,You can name names. It's 'ok'. Lots of 'POSKY' aircraft files have 'mangled' directory/folder name paths (but not just POSKY). That is the problem. The files can be there and it still won't work. So, please provide the file name (zip) and where you got it (AvSim, FSCom, SimV, etc). Then we can look for that particular package ourselfs, make a correction and then pass it on. Without the actual files we can do nothing but try to fix it 'with our mouths' and you can't do it that way.I've seen ERJ panel being aliased to the default Lear 45 panel. If you can't 'fix' the ERJ panel, then just delete the panel you have now, and go copy the default LEAR45 panel over to the ERJ. Problem solved. Or maybe not-you want VC panel, right? Well there are several out there. Just have to google and then go download. Search engines at sim sites are not that good sometimes. Faster to google. I include ONE (of maybe 400?) zip name, fairly recent (2008) and states it has a VC (see pic). Cheers.Chuck BNapamule

Captain75,I went and googled the actual zip file name. Got listing at SurClaro dot Com (one of my favorites) and here is more 'info' about panel in my last post.Chuck BNapamulePS: CAUTION: maybe zip name is the same, BUT, they could be completely different panels (ck file DATE). Aha. (It's 'Mix Up' heaven sometimes).

Would that have been mine by any chance? If not, have a look here:HowTo - The Ultimate Install Of The Posky ERJ-145It seems everybody that tries to do this does OK up to the point of copying and pasting the fltsim.x entries into the aircraft.cfgs. For that reason I finally just zipped up the completed aircraft.cfgs and made them available for download. With these you can simply overwrite your existing acft.cfgs and everything should work. Just make sure you get the "LR" acft.cfg into the LR folder and the "XR" into the XR folder, they're in seperate folders within the .zip file.osERJ-145_acftcfgs.zipHere's another thread you may also want to have a look at:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=252445Jim
