July 23, 200916 yr Hi JimI cannot get the QNH to show correctly at FAJSI start ASA, and wait for it to be ready, then I start FS9 and load Airport FAJS and default B734.I then sit and wait for ASA to complete wx depiction... but the QNH never updates, it just remains at 1013 standard as surpose to be 1025 atm.Any advice?ThanksJannie Regards Jannie Roelofse Flight1 Software Project Manager
July 24, 200916 yr Hi,I will test this tomorrow, but are you giving ASA and FS up to 5 minutes to update? Is Lock to current position On in ASA?Thanks,
July 24, 200916 yr Author Hi JimYes more then enough time, I had screen shots with the post but they now missing? And the wx shows locked to FAJS, as per screenshots.ThanksJannie Regards Jannie Roelofse Flight1 Software Project Manager
July 25, 200916 yr Hi,The forums are still acting strange in regards to screenshots.FYI, I went to FSJS tonight in FS04 and ASA and all the data from ASA got into FS right on.Please try this again and see what you get. Thanks,
July 25, 200916 yr Author Hi JimNope not working.I have tested under WinXP 64bit and Win7 RTM 64bit UAC disabled and not working.Did you test FAJS or FSJS?I tried now 4x under both OS's and no luck, all info is send to fs with exception of the QNH it remains stuck at 1013I also tested at FACT and it QNH worked perfect was send to fs.So why will the QNH be send to fs at FACT which is at sea level but not to FAJS a high alt airport at 5560ft ?I have tried every possible option I know , but QNH is not updating for me at FAJSThanksJannie Regards Jannie Roelofse Flight1 Software Project Manager
July 25, 200916 yr Author Jim I also now noticed that the TAT on the default 734 is always on 04'C where as my current metar says 11'C at FAJS.From my other screenshots the temps was also 4'C then.I am static not moving so TAT should be close to whats reported in the metar? The only thing that seems to be kind of working at FAJS is the wind speed and direction. July 25, 200916 yr Jannie,I'm sat at FAJS right now. QNH is depicted as 1032mb in ASA and my altimeter reflects this. This is over a network. - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
July 25, 200916 yr Author Well then I am totally baffled, mine is not updating.FS9 or FSX?What operating system? Regards Jannie Roelofse Flight1 Software Project Manager
July 25, 200916 yr Author OK I don't have FSX installed nor use it, so the issue is with FS2004 for me Regards Jannie Roelofse Flight1 Software Project Manager
July 26, 200916 yr Hi,I did mean FAJS, just hit the wrong key.Tried again and everything was spot on. Is this the only place your data is not matching? Thanks,
July 26, 200916 yr Author Hi JimOk I got it working now. Here's what I did.I uninstalled ASA, and deleted all related folders. Now here is my previous installation:I installed the original installer think is build 316 , I then applied SP1 build 433 ontop and then started ASA and registered with my key.Did not want to work correctly. So I took the following approach.I installed original build 316, then start/run ASA and registered it, and wx was loading perfect at FAJS.I then closed ASA, applied SP1 build 433 and then started ASA again, it asked to register or validate key again which I did and ASA load and wx was again fine at FAJS.So could the install sequence been buggering up the working process of ASA?Thanks,JannieEDIT: nope this is not it, there is another problem causing this, I am narrowing it down to 1 of the option sliders, I am still trying to find out which 1 is causing this strange behavior, will inform later when I have more info. July 26, 200916 yr Author Ok I think I found the problem.Under Cloud Options:CAVOK cloud generationCIRRUS cloud generationIf I turn those 2 slider to 0% simultaneously then I get the wx depiction problem, no qnh and no temps. If I set either 1 of the sliders just to 1% then I get perfect wx and everything updates as per the metarSo moment the above mentioned 2 sliders are BOTH set to 0% then I have problems with the wx.At least wx is now working correctly.CheersJannie Regards Jannie Roelofse Flight1 Software Project Manager
