Mega Airport Heathrow

Featured Replies

I have had mega airport heathrow (MAH from now on!) for a while, and its a nicely done airport although FPS heavy that is to be expected. Anyway I recently decided to run in DirectX 10 mode as people have reported that you dont get dissappearing textures in your PMDG planes and so far this has worked for me, however MAH now has blank textures at night time on the buildings daytime its fine, but at night time i get blank textres, anyone have an idea what is causing this, I would have posted on the aerosoft forums but they have been offline for 3 days now so given up on them.RegardsPaul

Right but it seems to fix disappearing textures in the PMDG products for me so far (touch wood)(Mysteriously it also seems to have fixed issues with GPWS and altitude call outs on approach in the level D 767), if i have to choose will run DX10 and not have textures at heathrow at night and keep textures in virtual cockpit :-)Paul

Hi Paul,I had the same problem with DX9. What I had to do was run DXDIAG and on the 'sound' tab drop the slider by one for the hardware acceleration. GPWS and alt callouts are now back!Maybe DX10 doesnt have that problem on your system. I didnt have this sound issue until I upgraded from XP32 to XP64.Graham

I for some reason have no option in my sound tab to do anything just lists the information about the drivers but there is no way to change anything, I have two sound tabs as well (two display tabs to) I saw this fix on the Level D forums so had looked at it. I am running the latest realtek drivers from their website so no idea what else i can do.Running 64 bit vista as well.regardsPaul

This is a copy of what I have when running DXDIAG. This is not from my FS machine but my laptop but the screens for me are exactly the same (different soundcards though!) I moved my slider from 'FULL' to 'STANDARD' as indicated by the red line.
