  1. Amuses me no end when people lie and get caught, especially on something as silly as this. Reminds me of been a kid at primary school this kind of deception. Paul
  2. I wonder if that is what i did, maybe when i was entering the course for the ILS on the MCP i accidently clicked the TOGA hidden thing, that part of the tutorial is around that phase of flight descending through 10 thousand. Paul M.
  3. Was in Vnav as per the tutorial no speed was in the MCP window it was blank, the FMC was asking for 250 or below I believe, not sure about N1 AT, I basically was following the tutorial... is it possible to click the hidden click point on the MCP that will select TOGA? Though once you disengage the AT it shouldn't command full thrust again once you reselect?Paul M
  4. No i don't use FSUIPC. but never had this problem with the MD-11 or 747X with full throttle been applied into a over speed condition in descent. Paul M
  5. I get 10 to 16FPS on the ground at Gatwick with UT2 and REX on which is smooth enough for me, in the air it goes to 18 to 30 FPS which is perfect, on approach into EHAM was 15 19FPS for me, more than enough to hand fly it smoothly (EHAM is default airport for me, scenery is the excellent NL2000 freeware) It is less FPS than the level D for me and the MD-11 but more than the 747, overall i am happy with the FPS considering i have UT2 on high settings and REX my system specs are:Q9950 quad at 3.4ghz, 4gb ram, GTS250 1gig, windows 7 64bit which are very mid range now (though the Q9950 is still a gem of a processor 12mb cache i think helps a lot)
  6. Agree the sounds on this plane are amazing, well done Armen!
  7. Flown the Tutorial flight twice now and I am loving the NGX, it's a work of art! I had a quick look through the forums and searched but could not see anyone else with this behavior. The first time I did tutorial I did it with no weather and the aircraft behaved pretty much as expected. Second time I wanted real world weather as I prefer to fly with this on, I use REX for the weather. The NGX performed perfectly up until the final part of the descent, at about 10000 it commanded full thrust into an over speed so i disconnected engaged speed brakes and retard thrust manually until was below 250, turned on autothrust again and the plane once again went to full thrust I let it climb up to just below over speed again (300 and something knots) then disengaged the autothrust and used my throttles to manually control speed to touch down. Some things I noticed, the speed tape was jumping around a lot about 20 40 knot jumps up and down maybe this was confusing the AT logic? There was a very strong crosswind i think 30 40 knots (at this point can i say how awesome the HUD is flew the plane perfectly using the steerage guidance thingy and landed on the center line) which went to a 14 knot headwind about 20 seconds before touch down ^^ Will fly the Tutorial again tonight with RW weather and see if it repeats or if it was just a issue with the weather that night, was very windy and gusty in Europe. Paul M.
  8. I have both E-jets V2 and ERJ V2 and have been flying the E-175LR a lot now and really enjoy it, done some landings in total white outs with crosswinds with the auto pilot all the way down no problems, systems wise it's a pretty decent simulation and I really enjoy the call co pilot feature as well as the ability to load the plane as cold and dark by default. The downsides are the GP which isn't great to look at, (rest of cockpit is great 8/10)the night lighting does not bother me, and the lack of repaints with the package, you only get a few per version which is a bummer.Overall it's a solid 8/10 for me, compared to say the PMDG MD-11 which I give a 9.5/10Regards Paul
  9. Looks great! Will be awesome to to see the plane in its full glory, the J41 is a masterpiece, so I am looking forward to this very much! The VSD looks awesome too, can't wait for all these little extra bits and pieces in the final product, will be a lot of fun.Regards Paul
  10. I Have the e-jets V2 the regional ones and I think it's a nice simulation, lots of fun to fly and the FMC is pretty complex with a lot of different functions. Not as good as PMDG J41 but it's not far off, and it's easier to fly for me from a systems point of view. Very user friendly planes these Ejets. My only gripe is having to pay for a lot of the repaints, as you don't get that many with the basic package, ie none for the 145XR (well the embraer house colours, but that doesn't count imho)Paul

Looks very nice, the video of the HUD looked awesome! I wonder how long till release.
  12. I too think that a lot of confusion arises from what people think is lite or in depth simulation. I myself enjoy all of PMDG offerings however I never use the failures, I am really only interested in normal flight operations, which means mostly that the plane needs to be operated in the correct way and you need to work the FMC and it operates as it does in plane under normal ops, ie it has proper vnav lnav sid/stars whatever (I think the J41 is pretty perfect in this way), I don't care if the toliet lights don't work if the left tire gets a puncture or this hydraulic system controls these things in a failure. I am not training to be a Airbus Pilot and if i ever had to fly one because the pilots passed out or something I would pray that the plane was still able to be operated by autopilot and the FMCG which I would hopefully know how to operate for normal operations! So a indepth simulation for me is one that simulates normal operations, to call that a lite sim is to say that all those pilots up there are just been lite pilots while flying us around the world :( The in depth system failure omg the coffee maker wont run we lost the right engine drive is super indepth for me and I assume pilots themselves only experience them in the simulator for their working careers, with a very few really unlucky ones getting it in flight. I appreciate for some people this makes the simulation a in depth one, but for me they are not relevant to flying the plane in its day to day operations, and as such are icing on the cake. Paul
  13. They are all really excellent! Good work guys.
  14. Would be interesting to see how it compares to the CS 757, the screen shots look nice and it seems you get the 200, -200F and the 300 as a package, which is nice.Paul

Do you have to totally uninstall the old 757 or only the block addons, (which i don't have) wasn't clear on this point and I am D/L the patch now. Would be nice to get some improvements on it, the 757 is often iffy on approach for me, and FPS is a little hard though i got a new Q9550 and my FPS has doubled in other addons just not tried it with the 757 yet.Paul M
