nvidia and DX10

Featured Replies

as stated earlier by another member, the lights on my aircraft in FSX dont appear....just the glow off the fuselage while in DX10 mode. In DX9, everything is normal. Is this a nvidia thing, or a FSX thing? Also, if someone has an nvidia card and is not having problems, what drivers are you using? I have a GTX 260. Thanks in advance?

Hi,This is not a nVIDIA or a driver problem. In FSX the DX10 setting is called Preview DirectX10 mode. The support for DX10 was added with the FSX SP2 and isn't really good. I only use FSX in DX9 mode myself.

AMEN!

Funny part is that I seem to get BETTER performance overall in FSX with DX10 enabled then with DX9. I am in the early stages of the new computer build so no overclock, defrag, tweaks yet but I was surprised to see these results. I'm running Nvidia drivers 182.50.
