World Airports 3 and invisible AI planes

Featured Replies

I bought World Airports 3 from Just Flight a while back and installed it on FS9, which was perfect. Now that I have a new machine, I installed FSX, SP1 and SP2. I got out my WA3 disk and installed the airports from it in FSX. They look great, but every single ai plane at each of these airports is invisible except for their marker lights. I can hear their traffic on the radio and see the marker lights moving around, but that's it. I'm thinking it might be World Ghost Town Airports instead LOL Has anyone else seen anything like this or have a solution? The ai are just fine at all the other airports in my system, it only occurs at the ones installed from WA3.KP

I'm thinking it might be a DX10 problem. Do you have DX10 Preview turned on? If so, turn it off and see if that makes a difference. Secondly, it could be a Scenery Library priority issue. I apologize but not familiar with the WA3 program but these two issues usually result in the problems you describe.Best regards,Jim

Hi Jim, thanks for the reply. I don't have the DX10 preview turned on. Not sure about the scenery library possibility, I'll see what I can find. I emailed Imaginesim this evening, so hopefully they'll have suggestions as well. Thanks!KP

Glade it worked out ken :( I believe that it has something to do with the way some scenery developers make there runway models and if you have ai that is not built with the fsx tools, it would cause that problem it happend to me with aerosoft scenery london heathrow. when ever you get the chance and the money should check the flight1 Ultimate Traffic 2 for fsx there's a demo you can try out at there website. http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=ut2
