Saitek ProFlight Yoke

Featured Replies

Guys, does anyone have an answer for me?I have just exchanged my yoke for e new one and I still have problems. I am getting changing views, problems with the throttle were flying an single engined plane like the Cessna 172 I get the throttle closing while the hardware is on full throttle - On multi engined planes the number one throttle closes leaving the rest on full throttle.I have already tried the 'trouble shooting/reset defaults' and erasing my FS9.cfg file and allowing the sim to build a new one to no avail.I also have a 'Cyborg-Evo' joystick and this works perfectly. Now here is the odd'est thing - In FSX the Yoke is fine.Does anyone have any clues as to what is happening here please?

Hi,It sounds like you either have incorrect/duplicate assigments of axis and buttons in FS9 or you have saitek software running that has the assigments also set in a profile and are clashing with the FS9 assigments.FS9 also has a tendancy to reassign axis and buttons automatcially, even though you may have set and changed them before. Double check and add locked=1 to each of the joystick sections in FS9.cfg to stop any further changes.Steve

Hi Although I have FSX I don't like it so I stick with FS9. That being said I don't think it would make any difference. (But I may be wrong maybe someone else will chime in) I had the same problems as you. Simply go to the control assignments list and delete all the stuff in them, including those in slew mode too' The start adding your command choices and when you are done check and make sure that there are no PEDAL or Yoke commands entered at all in the slew section. In the Pedal settings , there are only three needed......Toe brakes and Rudder, you will need to put a tick in the box beside the left and right brake command but not for the rudder. Setting up the Yoke & Button commands is really up to you but I will help more if needed. You will have to unplug and plugin the USB plug going to your computer after starting up you system as your aircraft will like have a right on the take off roll. Are you using Trackir if so that is probably the cause of the view switching the goes on and that's a shame but something I have to live with too. It is due to other light sources around you. Make sure it is not running at all I found it picked up reflections from my glasses, The camera I mean. Hope this helps you...............John PS: there are some helpful people on Saitek's Forum That's where I got this info from. But Richard was not very helpful at all I am afraid he just frustrated me no end. "NEVER GIVE UP" :(
