Orbx airports ATIS display

Can anyone who has Orbx airpoprts tell me how to turn off or preferably DELETE the automatic scrolling Weather report ???? Thw weather report for Richmond goes on forever repeating itself, it drives me insane. I keep clicking over it with Close Window but it raises it's ugly head seconds later. It gets in a loop and I cannot make any radio transmission cos it is hogging the airwave.I have asked on the Orbx forum but too early for a response so I thought I would ask here as well.

So it seems that simply changing the frequency away from the ATIS freq does not solve the problem?

I removed the Auto ATC window startup option in FSX and the weather report didn't start, however I did not try using the ATC as I got called away by the missus so had to shutdown the flight !! Wil try again later.

ATIS will go on forever in an endless loop no matter what airport you are at. It is a recorder message providing information about the airport. That is the purpose of ATIS. As Double Dutch (get it? :) ) says change the Comm frequency on your radio and you will no longer be receiving the message. Sometimes when you start a flight your radio frequency will, purely by coincidence, happen to match the ATIS frequency. Having said that, I remember in FS9 if you took a flight out of Brisbane and get transferred to Brisbane Departures this had the same frequency as a nearby ATIS service which really stuffed up the communications.

I had the same problem near Hamilton Island, driving me nuts. I couldn't comply with ATC as I couldn't hear them with an ATIS message broadcasting on the same frequency. I found the offending airfield using the FSX map and looking at the frequencies of local airfields. Fixed the problem by using AFX to change the ATIS frequency of the offending airfield and restarted my flight.
