August 17, 200916 yr Is IsSorry, my computer wigged out. Question: Is there a way in the 744 (or MD-11 for that matter) to make the preferences in the menu stick? It seems like everytime I load a plane, it doesn't have my preferences (custom 2 minute alignment on the IRS, etc.) or keyboard shortcuts? Do I have to save that somewhere else? Is it the liveries? I.e., if I fly the such and such paint job on the RR engine, and then fly a different one, does it not stick? Kind of annoying re-programming everytime. August 18, 200916 yr If you are a Vista user, you need to assign admin rights to the pmdg folder and subfolders so it can modify its own files, which is how the setting stick. Changing livery should not change the option settings. Dan Downs KCRP
August 18, 200916 yr Author Aha. I saw the admin rights were in the folder, but didn't bother to check the subfolders. That might very well be the problem. Thanks again. Doug Orvis PP-ASEL-IA (USA), Based at KHEF Picture courtesy of Kyle Rodgers

Apparently, I'm an idiot. I set the owner/creator group as having "all rights" and it still didn't work. So, maybe I'm doing this wrong in Vista? If anyone wants to give me a little more detail on how to change these admin rights, I would be very thankful. Best.Doug Doug Orvis PP-ASEL-IA (USA), Based at KHEF Picture courtesy of Kyle Rodgers
