August 18, 200916 yr I jsut installed this scenery and it appears kinda washed out, and not really better than the default with GEX, UTX, and some Genesis mesh............This is XP with an 8800GT card and 2gb RAM, 3.4 gh processor........37" monitor........they say to use 2m resolution, but my sliders are almost maxed out, (just under a stall of fps), just wondering if anyone else has this and how they set up the settings, slong with what do you do in the night time conditions..............I bought thru PC Aviator and they refer everything back to the developer, which I canot figure out how to contact..............any help on this would be greatly appreciated before I uninstall and lose the 25 bucks....B42L8

I never purchased the Newport material, however I bought Miami and Ft. Lauderdale photo scenery from the MegaSceneryEarth collection of downloads and experienced the same thing with washed out day textures, however MegaSceneryEarth does include night textures. As far as you problem with no night textures you will have to go into the scenery tab and uncheck the scenery to disable it for night flying. Of course you will be back to the regular GEX night textures but better than flying over daytime textures at night.I will never buy photo scenery that doesn't have night textures, too much hassle in my opinion. I can deal without the different seasons, but not without night textures. There is no photoscenery that I want that much. You can do what I did and download SBuilderX and create your own photo texutes of Minneapolis and make night textures as well. Then you can enhance the source material to your liking. It is time consuming, but once you learn how to do it its not to bad. Creating the night textures will take you some time however.Good luck.
