Crashbak 2a virus?

Featured Replies

I downloaded crashbak 2a from the AVSIM library. Upon installation, Norton tells me that a temporary file (irsetup.exe) contains backdoor.lolok.b virus. Anyone else seen this? Is this a real virus or is norton mistaken? I had a previous version installed just fine, but not this one! Someone should check this out and if its real, the file should be repaired and/or pulled from AVSIM...sg

We're checking into this, but it looks like it might be a problem with the 6/6/2003 definition files. Do a LiveUpdate and see if the problem goes away.Once confirmed by another tech staff member we'll post again.Mikehttp://www.avsim.com/vaworld/mikep/smallsig.jpg

Just downloaded the file and scanned it with my AV s/ware, no suspecious file or virus detected.I use AVG AV s/ware from Grisoft, www.grisoft.com and have had no probelms with it so I am almost sure it is a false positive from Norton.BTW AVG is free for personal use.

you guys can also try this free scan online thing from pc cillin works very wellhttp://housecall.trendmicro.com/
