AbdullaPete Taylor posted this: http://blogs.msdn.com/ptaylor/archive/2007...to-install.aspx.This is by NickN and worth a read: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041.You carry out the uninstall by using Control Panel Add/Remove programs. (Remove all add-ons first). If you have a 32-bit system REVO uninstaller is excellent (not supported in 64-bit)You may want to use the MS Windows Installer Clean up Utility from http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9...1bd/msicuu2.exe - follow instructions.I would leave C++, etc alone - they are Windows components not FSX.PhysX is part of the nvidia drivers and FSX doesn't utilise it - leave it alone but untick in the nvidia control panel.I would then reboot and use CC Cleaner to clean out any bits left behind.Good LuckPeterH

Also I have found that the un-install routine for FSX and FS2004 will NOT remove any files such as the FSX.cfg file etc) which were created after the installation. After un-installing, take the time to search your entire HD for anything which was "left over" - you may be surprised by what you find. Of course you should delete any left overs.Don't forget that the FSX.cfg file and perhaps others may be "hidden" files so be sure to take that into account.I have also found that if you have FS2004 installed on the same machine, the un-installation of FSX will almost always corrupt the registry entry for FS2004.That is easily corrected by using the free Registry repair tool from the good folks at Flight1.http://www.flight1software.com/files/FS_Registry_Repair.exeGood Luck!
