September 6, 200916 yr Hello, first let me say that this is a great product!!! This plane really handles well on an approach and is generally very stable. My question to you is, how do I use the TCS system? There is a reference to it in the AOM but I cant seem to find the button or any keypresses to use it. Has it not been incorporated? And secondly... I cannot ever seem to save a flight plan from the FMC and have resorted to using FSBuild instead. Whenever I type in the flight plan, turn off avionics, start engines and then turn back on avionics, I have to turn the FMC back on (off course) but it seems to lose my flight plan. It remembers everything else though. I have selected Save Flight plan using the LSB key to the right, pushed enter and when it gives the filename, pushed OK again when it says 'OK - Enter?' I then tried to confirm if the flight plan is there by pushing the FPL button until I see the saved ones but it does not appear at all. I know it gets saved, I see it in the Flightplans directory under PMDG as an .rte file but in the plane itself, it somehow does not appear. Any ideas?MJ
September 6, 200916 yr That's strange, I saved a flight plan and got confirmation... Bizarre. Cheers, Thomas
September 7, 200916 yr I have actually been able to reproduce the FMC problem everytime. I think it might be another bug to add to the buglist. I noticed that saved plans do appear but only after I exit the plane and reload it. If I make a plan, save it and turn off the FMC and/or avionics masters, when the avionics and FMC are turned back on after engine start, the saved plan won't appear on the FMC since it gets wiped. It won't appear in the list either until I restart it. Although, if I am in MAP mode on the EHSI, even if the FMC displays no active flight plan, it will display the waypoints I previously typed. This happens even when the FMC is switched off.As for TCS, I reckon it wasn't implemented but it would be nice to have it, especially when the AP is engaged and you want to set a new datum manually. Maybe for a service pack? Anyways, great plane and vey good job on it, PMDG!!MJ
September 8, 200916 yr MJ, I believe you are correct. I noticed it today and hadn't double checked it but I will take it to the bug tracking system now.Nope, TCS isn't included. Seems that it doesn't get used operationally (RW). Dan Downs KCRP
