September 8, 200916 yr Hello, maybe I'm the only one but I can start an engine and I can see the EGT rise up. Then the RPM of the engine stay at 15% the plane moves a little as of the probs spool up but I don't hear the sound. The engine keeps on starting till it or burst in flames or till I stop the engine. Then I can only start a engine two times then I can push the button and then nothing. No start sounds or changes in rpm and EGT> Then if I get an engine started, I can only start one, the second engine (L or R) can't start. One time I had both the engines running and then after the smaal test flight and shut none of them will ever start again. Then after exiting the flight FSX crashes. And when it does I can can hear the engines start and then stop, I even hear the buttons clicking. It's clear in my opinion that I am not doeing something wrong, but let's have the pro's have a look in it. I even tried reinstalling and/or repairing the program several times.Hoping for help, Maarten Schot PMDG 748 - PMDG JS4100 - PMDG MD-11 - PMDG 737 9800-7600 NGX GEX - UTX - REX2.0

September 8, 200916 yr Author Still needs assistance. I have been all day on the way with following tutorials, reading manuals and watching youtube on real life starts and the start tutorial made by one of here. I was doing this because I want to pinpoint the problem. Maybe its me maybe its not. Fact is that when the engine should rev up and I should hear the probs rev up, I can see the plane move a little of the reeving up prob but I don't hear it and the engine keeps starting. Point is when I end the flight (read: return to the FSX main screen) I hear the knops turn en hear the prob rev up and then FSX crashes most of the time.I think I need assistance. :( Maarten Schot PMDG 748 - PMDG JS4100 - PMDG MD-11 - PMDG 737 9800-7600 NGX GEX - UTX - REX2.0
September 8, 200916 yr Commercial Member I think I need assistance. :(In regards to the crash to desktop on FSX shutdown, please contact our customer support at [email protected] for the engine start:Before you start the engine, look out the left window. Is the prop feathered? (the prop blades will be parallel with the aircraft) If so, this means that the engine was not properly shut down. It also means that you won't be able to start your engine, and if you keep trying, you will destroy it.If this is the case, look below the throttle lever, and you will see an unfeather switch. Click it so it moves left.Look out the window again... you should see the props sloooowly unfeather. Once they are, try starting the engine again (be sure your EGT is below 200).... September 8, 200916 yr Author - Avionics off- Fuel pumps on- Anti ice off- Ground power connected- Bus switches all normal- Beacon and nav lights on- EGT temp = outside temp EHAM, 24 degrees Celcius.Just been testing again, I always start the left engine first and she will not start (as descibed above). The right engine has the same problems. But now I started the right engine first, it did start as it should by the first attempt. The left engine was still having the same problems. and wouldn't start. Maarten Schot PMDG 748 - PMDG JS4100 - PMDG MD-11 - PMDG 737 9800-7600 NGX GEX - UTX - REX2.0
September 8, 200916 yr Are you using a throttle quadrant by chance? If so, try disabling that and seeing if the engine will start. If it does, plug the throttle back in and recalibrate it a couple times until you can get the engine to start.
September 8, 200916 yr Author Nope, just a stick overhere. Still waiting for the logitech G940 :( Maarten Schot PMDG 748 - PMDG JS4100 - PMDG MD-11 - PMDG 737 9800-7600 NGX GEX - UTX - REX2.0
September 8, 200916 yr Just to make sure, you have verified the props are on the start locks? See this thread to make sure.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=259267If they are, try this. Go to the FSX failures menu (Aircraft menu, failures) and try resetting failures for each little tab. Instruments, systems, and the rest.
September 8, 200916 yr Author Ok, this I will check. Start blocks are off, that's for sure. Now I try to reset the failures. Maarten Schot PMDG 748 - PMDG JS4100 - PMDG MD-11 - PMDG 737 9800-7600 NGX GEX - UTX - REX2.0
September 8, 200916 yr Author After the failure reset nothing changed except that both engines won't start. No matter in wich order I start them. But when I abort the start I see the rpm raise and then lower and hear the props rev up and then run out. Maarten Schot PMDG 748 - PMDG JS4100 - PMDG MD-11 - PMDG 737 9800-7600 NGX GEX - UTX - REX2.0
September 8, 200916 yr Author Ok, it's gonna be clear that there is something wrong whit the program. I am goeing te make a complete reinstal now and see from there. Don't know what else. Maarten Schot PMDG 748 - PMDG JS4100 - PMDG MD-11 - PMDG 737 9800-7600 NGX GEX - UTX - REX2.0
