September 9, 200916 yr I 'm planning lax-san. The SID from LAX to SAN ( Sandiego Five) leaves off at the Mission Bay (MZB) waypoint. WHERE do I pick the route up to SAN? George KPHX George Haarmann KPHX Drum & Bugle Corps Fan
September 9, 200916 yr looking at flightaware.com -two aircraft making the trip: EMB120 and ERJ135.all have a non-SID/STAR route listed. one example: LAXN42 (see discussion i found here - http://forum.ivao.aero/index.php?topic=80799.0)looking at the route flown shows these aircraft fly low (9000' for the EMB120 and 11000' for the ERJ135) and are vectored south based on the active rwy and LAX and SAN ... maybe using v-airways, not j-airways.-- D. September 9, 200916 yr Well, the VATSIM Los Angeles division (ZLA ARTCC) have a bunch of "preferred routes" for their airspace and commonly flown routes. Have a look here and I'm sure you'll find what you need:http://www.laartcc.org/tecroutes.phpLAXN11 is a "Tec route ID" which stands for: LAXX6 MZB It's a J route (for Jet powered aircraft) and uses Fight Level 110.BTW all other VATSIM divisions have official preferred routes like this on their websites. I assume they're applicable for IVAO too. I hope this helps.

September 9, 200916 yr MZB (Mission Bay) is a VOR 3 miles north of KSAN --there is no further route - you are there :(You're absolutely right, and you'll probably be vectored away from MZB long before reaching it. Most likely cleared SHAMU ONE.That said, I'd file and fly LAXN11 no matter what the SID says.
