If I set the bearing pointer control knobs on the EFIS display controller to LNAV the corresponding bearing pointer on the EHSI with full compass display disappears.Thanks,Gerhard

Not quite clear what you want, the EFIS Display Control Map button will cycle between partial pointer and map view. You can overlay VOR/ADF pointers on the LNAV pointer with the BRG control knobs.
