September 10, 200916 yr Hello1st of all big thanks to all posters on this forum and to Nick N for his guide. It was a combination of the above that made me buy a I7 set up for FSX.And so far I am well happy with it.My 2 questions are1 I have enabled Vsynch as per the guide provided by Nick N. Refrence Nhancer, My Dell2407 monitor has a refresh rate of 60hz but some times FSX goes over 100FPS.According to the guide it should not go over the refresh rate of the monitor. PLease see pics bleow of Nhnancer set up and screen shots in game of higfh FPS. Am I losing peformance because of this and any suggetsions on how to fix would be great.2I would say I am 95% happy with the performance of FSX it is pretty much set up to Nick Ns guideseen here http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041The only dissapointment I have is landing at HEathrow the FPS drops to 20-25 where as every were else is +30 in the UK.So I have Vista 64 and I am wandering if anyone could tell me if they think it is worth doing this suggestion by Nick N for OS tweaks http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1208959973would it increase FPS and by how much roughly and would it make flight smoother??Thanks in advancePictures below for question 1 By the way for the lower picture NHANCER it is the same settings in the GLOBAL settings aswell so Vysnch is on in Global and Profile Keithy George

I never use DX10 so it is definitly off. Therefore I am still not sure why Vsunch does noit seem to be working.. Keithy George
September 12, 200916 yr Hi Bob, thanks for your reply and suggestion about making sure DX10 is off. I never use DX10 so it is definitly off. Therefore I am still not sure why Vsunch does noit seem to be working..Are you in full-screen mode? VSync does not have an effect in windowed mode. But your screenie also has no discernable AA, with all those nasty jaggies on the glareshield. Is AA unchecked in the MSFS settings? You might also try double-checking that the version of nHancer you're using is compatible with the driver version you're using.CheersBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case

My GTX285 driver is 7.15.11.8250 and I am using NHnacer version 2.5.1 so as far as I can tell everything is as it should be.Its a strange one!CheersLaz Keithy George
