September 12, 200916 yr Just finished the tutorial for the first (didn't blow up the engines on the trip!), but I found myself having problems with the approach. For some reason, I coulnd't get APR to work. Only when I turned off the A/P alltogether did it turn on. I know it's a a hard question to answer when hardly any details are supplied on this particular situation, but is there any reason for APR not to turn on when A/P is on? September 14, 200916 yr The approach mode should arm, turning off the A/P doesn't sound right. I assume the radio was set up for the approach.I just flew an approach today using LNAV, which was set up to take me to an IF just before the FAF and the approach mode armed and captured LOC/GS right on cue.Congratulations on not melting the engines, yet.
