September 16, 200916 yr Hi,My question is, why the Jetstream 41 doesn't have a hotel mode like the ATR72 ?Ben
September 16, 200916 yr Commercial Member I'm not sure the designers of this aircraft read this forum.I presume your asking why the plane does not have it as opposed to why PMDG didnt put it in. Noah Bryant
September 16, 200916 yr Ben,The JS41's engines are geared turbines. It is impossible to run the turbine without also turning the propellers on a geared turbine. There are advantages to a geared turbine, one of which is a faster response to power changes. September 16, 200916 yr Author So there is a plus and a minus. Thanks KurtBenPS : since it's a geared turbine engine why not using some kind of heavy clutch ?
September 16, 200916 yr Ben,Because it would be heavy. Best Regards, Kurt "Yoda" Kalbfleisch Pinner, Middx, UK Beta tester for PMDG J41, NGX, and GFO, Flight1 Super King Air B200, Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang, Flight1 Cessna 182, Flight1 Cessna 177B, Aeroworx B200
