MD-11 No Panel

Featured Replies

I recently had to re-install windows XP. I'm now just about back to square one. However, I'm having difficulty with the installation of the MD-11 in both FS9 and FSX. In FS9 everything loads fine, exept after the initialising countdown I have green crosses through the three instruments and there are no displays. The engines are running. All other views, switches etc are working. In FSX the 2D panel is completely grey - just a grey outline, no gauages, nothing. Everything is there when panning around. In 3D mode the instuments are blank as if all power has been turned off - but the engines are running. This happened when first installed into FS9 and FSX after a fresh install of FSX. I then un-installed the MD-11 and re-installed it and still had the problem. I've found in FSX that 'very occassionally' the panel loads fine but if I try changing to another MD-11 engine version I get the grey panel again. In FS9 I get the green crosses each time I load it. I did not have these problems prior to having to re-install windows XP. The reason I had to re-install windows was because I purchased a new video card. I went from an Nvidia 8800 GTX to an Radeon HD4870 X2. The new card didn't work without a new install of windows. Because it happens in both FS9 and FSX I wondering if it has something to do with the video card. Other addons are okay.Any ideas? My system is 64 bit.Bruce Ross
