September 17, 200916 yr I tried to install an Auto Pilot into the Aerosoft DH-2 Beaver by putting a Cessna C-182 radio ( with autopilot) into the panel. The radio showed up and you could adjust the desired altitude and rate of climb numbers but nothing happened when I clicked on the AP button. Is there a program somewhere that lets me install a working auto pilot into the beaver? Thanks jerrycwo4
September 17, 200916 yr Hello,Had you checked your aircraft.cfg for autopilot section ?If not there .. use the one of the Cessna .. and if there check if autopilot is = 0 and change to 1 and check also the value (0 or 1) for the other settings .... (refer to the one of the cessna you use ...)Maybe it's help.Regards.Gus.

September 22, 200916 yr Author Thanks so much to both of you! It got me going down the correct road. The updated panel by itself didn't get the whole job done. Not only do you have to use the MODERN cockpit, but the Autopilot does NOT work in the Vertuial MODERN Cockpit view. I've almost got it working in the OLD cockpit view. Right now, when flying the Beaver with the OLD syle cockpit, I can control all of the acft's movements in the AP from the MODERN "Cockpit" view (selected from the top of the monitor under, "VIEWS--MODERN COCKPIT), then switch to the OLD Vertiual view. In the OLD style vertiual view I can only control the ALTITUDE mode because I installed a C-182 Radio with Autopilot. I can control the compass direction from the MODERN cockpit view because I installed the "updated panel".. In other words I'm flying the DH-2 Beaver using the MODERN cockpit view and the OLD STYLE vertuial cockpit view. I think my final fix is to install a Horizonal Situation Indicator (HSI) gauge to the OLD style Beaver. Then I can undock its view and move it over to the OLD Vertiaul view and control the horizonal movements with it. I'll put a screen shot here when I finish all of it. O yea, mine's a little more complicated as I use 3, 26" monitors for my FS2004. jerrycwo4PS I've re-read this post about 15 times.... I think I have it all correct.
