J41 gear extension failure?!?!

Featured Replies

FSPassengers decided to throw me a curve ball. No gear extension! It's kinda hard to lose speed without the rubber airbrakes.Successful belly landing however!Pretty amusing and I wanted to share.Tim D.

I know it ain't a J41, but
one was just down the road from me. The aircraft was in pretty good condition afterwards. But the cleanup was messy, a lot of carbon fibre fragments (from props and strakes) necessitating breathing gear etc. All in all a textbook effort.

No, there was no damage or fire on the model afterwards. It just made me think about how hard it is to slow this plane to begin with. And with no gear down, it's even harder. I wasn't able to slow enough to belly land the first pass, I had to go around and keep my speed low. Interesting scenario.Tim D.
