September 19, 200916 yr I was fooling around with FSX to try and get my frames up (as usual). I noticed loading a saved flight over and over again that I appeared to have higher FPS on 8xq than just 2x. The frame rates jump around, however the average appears to be about 4 fps higher and definitely when it settles down about 4 fps higher. This held true even with "gray and rainy","building storms" and the current weather from ASA.Anyone else ever seen this? It doesn't make any sense at first thought. My machine:4GB ram, 3.0 9650 asus P5Q-E GTX 280
September 19, 200916 yr Many of us have noted that with nicer rigs, the sim tends to run and look better at higher settings, even with storms. While you are experimenting, try turning your card all the way up. You might be surprised. Depends on where you fly.Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
September 19, 200916 yr Author Ok thanks for the reply. I'd probably have known this is I was a regular visitor here. I tried 16xq but that slowed me down, however 8xq will do me just fine.
