September 24, 200916 yr Made 2 short test flights 1) full FMS and 2) hand flown. Problems: Takeoff: 1) at V1 began to rotate and the nose immediatley jumped to 40* pitch. 2) at 115kts the a/c flew itself off the runway. I lowered the nose and then as I started to raise it, the a/c suddenly pitched up to +40*.Landing: 1) full auto-land- everything was fine until radio altitude of 50 ft and it was obvious the throttles were not going to retard; there was no flare, the a/c slammed ino the ground off to the left of the runway, bounced up and rolled over. FMC Vref was 140kts.2) on hand flying to the landing, things were fine until about 100 ft then I had no control over the a/c which did exactly the same as in landing 1). FMC Vref was 136kts. I had added 5 kts to both Vref speeds, which I usually don't do in FS. Both test flights had 70 thousand lbs of fuel or less. Upgrade 2 was installed.Except for possibly un-installing and re-installing, or downloading again from scratch, I'm at a loss. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?thanks,db. not cooper
October 12, 200916 yr Never had the automatic pitch problem except for once or twice. Chekc your fuel loads. you may have been tail heavy. My autolands don't seem to get enough -FPM so i end up manually doing itNever had the finals problem before.Because of the PERF INIT not being that realistic, the REF Speeds aren't that accureate (or that could be just me) Legend of the Skies: Virtual Aerobatics (www.legend-aerobatics.co.nr)

I went into the cfg file..... boy is it messed up!! The weight and balance section is a total disaster. If you look at the station loadings they all have NEGATIVE longitudinal coordinates which means they are BEHIND the reference point; some of themn being over 200 ft aft!!. No wonder the plane sits on its tail on takeoff. I'm reworking the entire cfg (there's many other issues such as wrong geometry) from scaled 3d drawings, data from Boeing and the FAA.The panel and systems are so good, but with some rework I should be able to get a much better FDE.Mike

If you already had this configuration then, the fault must have been the wrong trim settings. Dave Taylor
