ATC WAITS TO THE LAST MINUTE...

Featured Replies

Hi,here I can observe a mix of some knowledge about RCv4.3 and quite a few pure speculations/misunderstanding about this product. It's true that you won't get any directions as regards the taxi path - it will be implemented in the RCv5.RC4 does interact with AI, however, you will never be told to deviate from your course because of conflicting AI, but the AI AC's will. Furthermore you will get traffic alerts from ATC because of conflicting AI's and so will the AI's. This you will here on the com if you have set up your RC to here communications with the AI's ( the majority of the users have such a setup). In addition to this RC is very correct made as it replicates the real aviation ATC in respect of diversifying the real world ATC airspace structure. This makes you only here communication with other AC's (AI's) for the frequency you have been assigned in acordance with the airspace you are at that time (geographical area and altitude or FL).As for the ATC speach, there are several voices used; US, UK, Australian, Italian, Danish, South Africa - males and some females. However, there is also an option for taking use of pre-recorded chatter wavs. This has been done in a very vise manner although having lot of wav files will take space on your hard drive. But who hasn't a lot of hard drive space nowadays.... The chatter files are also devided in accordance with airspace structure, but also clearance delivery, ground, tower, departure and arrival. I myself have collected a considerably number of chatter files by partly downloading from the net and recorded them through streaming facilities also on the net. With some tweaking- ie. using all my Russian chatter for all Russian speaking areas ( there are a lot of these areas) and they also contains english spoken by russians. For countries using severeal languages such as Switzerland and all other countries having multiple official languages ( there are a lot of them as well) I have mixed up the wav files in accordance with this. This way I have now covered the whole world (!) and it's awsome getting this real feeling of flying over one country after another ( from one country FIR or center to another). Also it differs if you are within a FIR covering land areas or an oceanic FIR. For the latter the sound is truly HF band -like. I have US, french, german, russian, chinese, japanese, UK, australian, norwegian, danish, polish, swedish, spanish, italian, arabic, islandic, finish, more different from eastern europe, oceania.................and.......and......On ground you will here all communications with the other AC's (AI's); clearance delivery when you are tuned into that frequency, ground on ground frequency and tower on twr frq. In addition you will also here the respectively prerecorded wavs which also may be made for specific airports. From time to time at the right ocation you will be told when receiving your taxi clearance to follow the airbus 320, boeing 737 or whatever will be in front of you on your way to the active runway. BUT, for RC4 you will not be told which taxi ways to follow. This is a feature that will be implemented in RC5. I personally think that this taxiways asignment wasn't implemented from the start as RC was firstly made to offer us simmers an ATC that allow us to experience real air traffic control. With RC you can do your SID procedures or STAR procedures without having a MSFS ATC yelling at you, you will have the option to make a NOTAM departure or arrival in difficult (mountainous areas), you can with the coherrent setup of RC and your FLP get directions from ATC to make a hold. RC does support both IFR and VFR ! And RC diversify the communication and procedures depending of your location it be a small remote airport/airstripe or an larger airport like an international mega one !RC is a way of elevating you to the next level of FS making the whole flight more realistic. For those who's concern lies with the ground handling: The only single thing that is not integrated with RC4 is the assignment of which taxi ways to use and the control of the ground traffic ( mostly RC freezes the AI's not letting them conflict with you). This is a feature as mentioned that will be part of RC5.If you would like to pay any attention to my recommendation , that would be; Get RCv4.3 now and prepare yourselft for the next version for which you will get a discount as a owner of RC4. The RC comes with a detailed manual and well prepared tutorial flights that will make you an FS-ATP during an interesting and also fun process.CarlEDIT: Sorry Ron I didn't see your post when I posted mine
