How would you do it without uninstalling the package?Whwen I have such a situation, I go into Expert Mode (in WOAI) and delete the old package (it is totally automatic) - then install the newer version. It has been my experience that if you do not do that, you may end up with duplicate aircraft names etc, and some of the traffic will not work.
September 30, 200916 yr Are you able to update World of AI flight plans?I'd say there are two options:1. There is a new official WOAI package2. There is no new WOAI version, just a new flightplan uploaded to AVSIM / Flightsim / somewhere elseIn the first case you just install that. The installer will discover your present version and ask you if you want to replace it with the later one.In the second case you can use Traffic Tools. You have to decompile the WOAI package and make changes in the 3 text files you get (aircraft, airports and flightplans) by replacing its content with the new one and recompiling the bgl again. You must be careful with aircraft as their names must agree with what you have in your aircraft folder ('title' from the aircraft.cfg) and if there is a new plane (not present in the old WOAI package) you'll have to add it youself (both physically - to you Aircraft folder - and its title to the Aircraft list in the decompiled WOAI bgl). That however requires some practice and accuracy, so if you are not sure you can do that, you may wait for WOAI to release an officially updated version. That's what I do to keep my (WO)AI up to date. Works pefrectly so far.
