Anyone have a Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB AGP card and currently using it for FS2002. I can get a pretty good deal on the 9000 Pro and would like to know how you like it. I was thinking about the 9500 or 9600 but the computer shop I buy my stuff from does nto have the 9500 or the 9600's and I can pick up the 9000 Pro 128 AGP for $70.JohnP4 2.53Ghz, ASUS P4S8X Mobo, 512Mb Ram PC2700, G4 MX 440 AGP, SB Live, Win98SE, (2) 80GM Maxtor 7200 RPM drives.

Hey John,I dont really have an answer for your question butI am wanting to upgrade my card and am also looking at the 9500 PRO.Do you know much about it?Would you recommend it as a good performer?Thanx!Theo, South Africa:-sun1

I was told the 9500 & 9600's are good cards to get :)I am just not ready to spend $180 for one. When I can pick up the 9000 for under $80.JohnP4 2.53Ghz, ASUS P4S8X Mobo, 512Mb Ram PC2700, G4 MX 440 AGP, SB Live, Win98SE, (2) 80GM Maxtor 7200 RPM drives.

Got news for you, the 9000 isn't much/any better than the Ge4MX card you have now. If I'm not mistaken its just a rebadged 8500 given a 9000 family name. Save your $80!Anything Under the 9500 isn't worth the money, 9500 & above you cant go wrong.

I like the 9500 Pro but haven't gotten one yet--soon I hope. It has 8 pipelines like the 9700/9800 Pro (the 9500 Pro is pretty much the same GPU as the 9700 except that its clock has been slowed down and the memory bus is narrower). The 9600 has been physically cost-reduced (fewer transistors in the GPU) and only has 4 pipelines.Peter http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/PeterR.gifBFU Forums ModeratorRenegade/Seawolf Design Group (RSDG)

http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/logo75t.gifBush Flying Unlimited"At home in the wild"Looking for adventure? hi,I have the 9000 pro and its a pretty good card I upgraded from a Gf2 mx400 and it was way faster. True, it aint no 9800 pro but its a decent card. I run fs2002 with most sliders to the right at 1280x1024x32 2x FSAA 16x Anisotropic and I get very decent frame rates around 20 fps most of the time. Ofcourse like any other card it doesent do so good with scenery such as simflyers KLAX. I get 10-15 fps at those airports. AndrewPS. My specs are below.
