October 5, 200916 yr Some months ago I had a big system crash, during the reinstall of programs I decided to miss out fs2004. Now, some months later, I have reinstalled the flightsim plus FSNavigator, which unfortunately would not work correctly. Every time that I tried to get FSnav to come up I would get a message telling me that my 20 trials had expired. I have the reg code and also a free reg code, which I can put into the reg box, but the OK button stays grayed out, so it will not work. Can anyone help me get it back up and running again. If you have a legtimate key etc - then it should be easy enough to add the data directly. The file in question is named program.cfg and it resides in your Modules/FSNavigator\Bin folder. The very first part of the program.cfg (open it with Notepad) would need to look like this:[Essential]SimVer=90URL1=http://www.fsnavigator.comURL2=http://www.fsnavigator.comLicenseName=XXXXXXXXXXXXLicenseDate=XXXXXXXXXXXLicenseKey=XXXXXXXXThe LicenseName is the name you used when you registered the program The LicenseDate is extremely important - if you enter the wrong date it will not work. The format is mm/dd/yyyyAnd of course the LicenseKey is unique. All of that data should have been sent to you in the registration e-mail from FSNav.Enter it correctly and Save your work and it should show as registered.Note: This may not work if you were one of the "lucky" ones whose download turned out to be one of the "free" copies.Hope that helps.
October 5, 200916 yr Thanks David, I looked in the program.cfg file but sorry to say there was no place to enter the reg. information. As I said in my previous post I do have the free reg reinstall code, so looks as if I'm one of those lucky ones :-( The other reg code that I have, which does include my name, date and code, must be for an earlier version of fsnav, which I don't now have, looks like I'm stuck. Many, many thanks for your help, it was much appreciated.Chris.You should be able to just paste the layout I posted and then enter the proper info - at the very top of the program.cfg file.Give it a shot.

October 6, 200916 yr Commercial Member The version I have is 4.6 and I'm betting that the name, date, reg code are for an earlier version...I bought FSnav back in the good ole FS2002 days and have been able to use the same reg info right up through the latest rekease version.Jim
October 6, 200916 yr Thanks again David for all your help, but again I had no luck. I copied and pasted the details you said, entered my name, date and the reg code, but again it still would not work. I tried just putting in the free reg. code, with my name and date, no go, then tried it without my name and date, still no good. The version I have is 4.6 and I'm betting that the name, date, reg code are for an earlier version, but I'm sure that the free code was for this present version. Many thanks again. Chris.Just FYI - Chris -Regarding the "FREE" version - this is a quote from FSNav about it -- The registration key will only be valid for this computer. - After HDD change or after formatting your C: partition, the registration key will no longer be valid. - You are not entitled to a replacement key in case of loss or if your key becomes invalid. - There are no guarantees and you are not entitled to support from the FSNavigator Team.end quote -That is why the free one does not work for you - it is not on the original computer.
