October 6, 200916 yr hi,I've got a big problem with rex 2.0. Every time I want to fly, rex takes ages (20 mn) to load the textures into FS, convert things and so forth. Am I doing something wrong or is it the way this program works. if so it is not acceptable. :( thank you for your help. My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
October 6, 200916 yr If you set REX to load the non-water textures, things move alot faster. Also , you can load in the textures you like once and then used them everytime you load the sim, you are not obligated to install the REX textures everytime you want to fly in the sim.

Once you've loaded (installed) a theme - that's it. Finito. Unless you want to use the weather engine, or change your cloud - or sky look or feel - you don't need to start REX at all. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
October 7, 200916 yr Author hi,Thank you for your replies. I understand now but I think that the "i just want to fly" icon is a bit deceptive; it did not occur to me that it implies a complete texture reload because I had already saved the textures I wanted to use. the weather textures are great. When skimming the bottom of cloud layers, it is really impressive. The clouds look beautiful.Happy flying. My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
