November 1, 200916 yr If we are playing, "what if," then sure. Or maybe you program the FMS enroute or not at all. It really isn't needed to fly this airplane. Dan Downs KCRP
November 2, 200916 yr Gents-I think the larger picture here is that you are all too used to flying a jet. I think it is safe to say I have more JS4100 time here than anyone else in the room... and i've NEVER pushed back in a JS4100.It really just isn't done except maybe in some VERY unusual parking spots.Obvioulsy still not enough time on them though lol, because at my unit (UK International Airport) ALL JS41 start engines on stand, then are pushedback straight onto the taxiway, we have 12 rotations of them a day. Previous unit all JS41 would start on stand and Powerback off stand, although I think this as been stopped now and they all do as above. So from this I presume they start on stand, program the FMS before or while they are being pushed back. or dont loose the data during the start phase. This is with Eastern Airways mainly but also other JS41's that come in on occasion also do the same. However I'm sure they are lucky enough to also be able to program a hold....hint hint...lolRegardsJames Carr Regards James Carr
