October 14, 200916 yr SITUATION:1) create a flight plan route in CDU and save it as (ex: EGPDEGGP01.rte). This works well. Cause you can visit the flightplans folder and presto... there is/are the saved routes (.rte)2) if you fly the route immediately, all is well3) however, subsequently trying to recall the (previously saved) route doesn't always work. Or, said another way, it's a tough call trying to find the route from the collection of previously saved routes in the CDU listing4) even though the route was named/saved as in the above example, the display of the routes from the FLIGHTPLANS folder takes on the formatting of [i'm thinking as a software person here... forgive me...] DEP RWY [sPACE] 1st FIX [sPACE] INDEX/COUNT #. So, you'd see something like... RWY5 NORGO 3I have verified that the route was correctly saved as in the above example. I've also verified that the formatting in item #4 above is a repeatable situation. The specific situation is this. I have hundreds of routes I've accumulated from flying the MD-11. These MD-11 routes AND the recently created JS41 routes share the same FLIGHTPLANS subfolder.Granted I've NOT tried loading the MD-11 and attempting to load a JS41-created route. But it is clear that the parsing of the file is (relatively) universal among the PMDG products. The header for the JS41 route reads... "PMDGJ41FMC *1.0*I just finished creating two (2) flight plan routes. And, in this iteration NONE of the routes show up in the JS41 list.In an effort to assist with the enhancement of this product via SP1. Please look into this situation. Unless I over-looked a similar issue on the forum, this is currently a 'Gotcha' over on my flight line.Cheers everyone,Keith Rockeps: To break up the mundane... here is a screen capture showing the WONDERFUL immersion the JS41 subjects its Captain and F/O to... in a virtual sense...I left the JS41 sitting at the gate in a freezing rain over in Dresden EDDC... yesterday afternoon. Granted you'd see icicles in the real world, this is pretty impressive...And, from inside the 'cold' cockpit, you'd really expect to see something like this...Pretty cool... "Huh?"
